We’re excited to announce the General Availability of our highly anticipated Azure Boards integration for ThreatCanvas! After a successful Private Beta, where we worked closely with our early adopters to fine-tune the integration, we’re thrilled to offer this powerful functionality to all our users.
Our Azure Boards integration streamlines collaboration between your security and development teams like never before. With this integration, organizations can seamlessly connect Azure Boards to ThreatCanvas. Developers working on new functionalities can create an automated Threat Model in seconds with a click of a button, making it easy to identify security issues early in the development process.
ThreatCanvas isn’t just for identifying risks; it also provides in-depth guidance on how to mitigate them with the correct security controls using SecureFlag’s library of thousands of hands-on labs available for over 45 technologies.
Developers can save the Threat Model diagram (and continue refining it with every update of the functionality) in Azure Boards and automatically convert identified risks into new issues. This eliminates manual processes, reduces delays, and ensures that your security and DevOps teams can act swiftly and efficiently to address threats.
Create a Threat Model from an Azure Boards Work Item: Generate a Threat Model in seconds from an Azure Boards Work Item, identifying potential Threats and corresponding security Controls. Save the Threat Model’s Link (for later editing) in JSON or PDF format in the Azure Boards Work Item.
Automatic Issue Creation: Security findings in ThreatCanvas can now be automatically transformed into actionable work items in Azure Boards, eliminating the need for extra manual steps. This ensures that potential vulnerabilities are prioritized and sent to the right development teams instantly.
Full Context and Traceability: Each work item created in Azure Boards comes enriched with detailed information from SecureFlag training. Your teams get full context about the security issue, including risk severity and the recommended remediation from the SecureFlag training platform—making it easier to resolve issues with all the necessary details in one place.
In today’s fast-paced development environments, security and DevOps teams need to work hand-in-hand to mitigate risks without slowing down product delivery. However, the disconnect between these teams often leads to inefficiencies, leaving critical vulnerabilities unresolved for too long.
With the new Azure Boards integration for ThreatCanvas, security is no longer a bottleneck. By bringing Automated Threat Modeling directly into the tools your development teams are already using, we’re enabling a more agile, integrated, and efficient approach to creating software that is secure by design.
During the Private Beta, we received enthusiastic feedback from our participants. Many of our early adopters saw significant improvements in how quickly they were able to scale Threat Modeling practices and identify security issues from the software design phase. Here’s what some of our users had to say:
“Integrating ThreatCanvas with Azure Boards has transformed the way our teams design new features with security in mind. We no longer lose time switching between platforms, and the real-time updates keep everyone on the same page.”
“The automatic issue creation and full context provided by ThreatCanvas in Azure Boards has helped us significantly reduce time developers spend on security rework. It’s a game-changer for our DevSecOps workflow.”
