SecureFlag Revolutionizes Threat Modeling Training with New SDK

In November 2022, SecureFlag made waves in the cyber security training industry with the release of its revolutionary Threat Model training labs.

These labs are designed to equip developers with the knowledge and skills to build a threat model, understand which threats impact which aspects of the environment, and incorporate controls into the design as early as possible.

The rationale behind the creation of this unique training capability is to empower all personnel working across the development lifecycle with a practicable understanding of security and the criticality of its being integrated at the beginning of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), thereby enabling early identification and mitigation of application security risks. Threat Model Software Development Kit (SDK)

Building on this success, SecureFlag has now released its new Threat Model Software Development Kit (SDK). This innovative tool allows Customers and Partners to build their own Threat Model labs, further enhancing the adoption of threat modeling in their processes.

The Threat Model SDK is a powerful tool that enables teams to draw their application diagrams and models during live Threat Model sessions. At the end of each session, these diagrams and models can easily be converted into a training lab for future hands-on sessions. This feature not only enhances the understanding and adoption of threat modeling but also ensures that the knowledge gained is directly applicable to the team’s specific projects.

Created labs are available exclusively to users of the owner organization. This means that the lab can be used to train all developers about the Threat Model of the application they work on. This feature ensures that all developers within the organization have a clear understanding of the application’s threat landscape, thereby enhancing the overall security posture of the software.

SecureFlag’s Threat Model labs and the new SDK are part of a broader strategy to make security training an integral part of the SDLC. By providing developers with the tools and training they need to identify and mitigate threats early, SecureFlag is helping organizations reduce the time and cost of vulnerability remediation.
